Plumville High earned a fourth straight victory by overwhelming Indiana A A A 42 to 22. Plumville led 28 to 6 at halftime as Barnett scored 13 of Indiana A A A’s points in the second half, while Brown contributed 16 for Plumville. Substitutes included Fisher Altman Shaffer and others as Plumville’s lineup featured Barnett Pilgrim and Manner among the scorers.

In New Philadelphia Ohio on December 25 the divorce and alimony suit of Laura Ash, of Pittsburgh, against Rev Floyd Ash former pastor of the Methodist Protestant Church of Urichsville, was continued in Common Pleas Court until January 15. Settlement efforts failed. Laura Ash, now an inmate of the County Children’s Home at Dover, had previously lived at the Ash home. Rev Ash relinquished his pastorate but remains secretary of the Ministerial Association of Urichsville and Dennison.
Washington December 22. The quality of mercy is not strained this Christmas season as the Justice Department reports no pardons for thousands in Federal penitentiaries. Wardens are instructed to commend a few well behaved convicts, but the practice is reportedly discarded.
Church notes list in detail several Christmas program items such as The Work's Redeemer and Te Shall Reign Forever performed by choirs led by Mrs Guheen Mr Wiley and others. It records services at First Regular Baptist Court House and South Bible Rebool with times for morning worship Bible school evening worship and mid week prayer.
A Christmas program features an adult choir directed by J R Kings with additional exercises. Morning services include a Children's Portion and the Captain of the Days. Rev Arthur B McCormick of New York delivers sermons on the Incarnation of an Ideal and Religion Carried to Victory. Special Christmas music planned.
Louis Holdup in Crystal City near St Louis ends with the bank's president and cashier seized by three armed men. The robbers, who escaped in autos, reportedly took several thousand dollars from a payroll for Pittsburgh Plate Glass and the bank vault cash. Coon praised for preventing a worse outcome as a gunfight erupted.
Howard Magill, 67, his wife 55, daughter Dorothy 24, and Mary Ayres 80 were exposed to coal gas from a pipeless furnace at the Magill home five miles east of Carversville. Mrs Magill near death, Dorothy holding slight hope, Mary Ayres in serious condition. Frank Magill, a nephew, found them early today while stopping for eggs.
