Postmasters to Stand Civil Service Tests in Several States

About 76 postmasters in Indiana County face new tests while positions in other counties may also change. The move aligns fourth class appointments with later carrier and clerk rules. Forest fire claims paid by County Commissioners blame railroad engines for ignition and summons constables to press charges along rail lines.
