Six people were injured in a head on crash near Mexico Pennsylvania. State Senator Harvey Bowers Punxsutawney was among the injured along with Alvin Relist his brother William Relist and Mrs William Relist of York. Alvin Relist drove the car carrying his brother and sister in law. Bowers rode in a car driven by State Representative W S Moore Reynoldsville. Moore attempted to pass a truck when the collision occurred.

P R R Division Adopts Five Day Work Week
In Pittsburgh on December 2, the Buffalo division of the Pennsylvania Railroad announced a five day week to employ idle telegraph operators. Rum boat Star sinks after explosion off Horses Neck Beach
In Woods Hole Massachusetts an explosion and fire sank the alleged rum boat Star near Horse Neck Beach. Coast guards fired at pursuit and later pumped bullets during a mile chase. Mine Worker Fatally Hurt in Eastern Coal Tipple Fall
James Banks, 40, of Rayne township, died after falling 30 feet from an Eastern Coal Corporation tipple in Chambersville at 11 35 P M Tuesday. He was repairing a pulley when he slipped and struck the ground unconscious. he died ten minutes later while preparations for transfer to Indiana hospital continued. Banks was a longtime tipple crew member and well regarded locally. An obituary notice will follow.

Glen Campbell Youth Shot Injures Clarence Pounds
Clarence Pounds fifteen son of Albert Pounds of Glen Campbell was shot in the left leg while rabbit hunting on his father's farm last Saturday. The leg was amputated at Memorial Hospital Clearfield shortly after admission. Hospital staff report he rested well and is believed to recover. the incident occurred during rabbit hunting with his younger brother Delbert.
