AYINITA Aug 31. Charley Fease, 39, tells of earning a living digging potatoes and odd jobs as he marries 77-year-old Ellie Day Pease in Joplin Missouri. The couple began the romance two months earlier as he passed her home en route to the grocery, and she had been living with a daughter nearby.
The body of 69 year old Mrs. Lavia Hotchkiss was recovered from Con Lake near Gonneaut Lake Park after two fishermen located it at a depth of about 40 feet. Coroner Luther J. King labeled the death as a probable suicide. This marks the third similar death in the county over three days.
