In Atlantic City Aug 7 Rev Edward McConnell of Absecon and Claude Friendship a Philadelphia real estate agent drowned off Dov's Island near Brigantine while saving a companion from a sinking boat. Two others survived the peril but the bodies of the pair were not recovered. Friendship was son of a Realty Co. president. McConnell was in his first service at Absecon.
