Government designates several Pennsylvania towns including Blairsville for postal savings banks to open with post offices this July. Other towns named are Windber Wood City Dunnesne Coatesville Nanticoke Northampton Plymouth Shamokin and Phoenixville. Deposits limited to local office patrons with in person initial deposits of at least $1 and mail deposits allowed subsequently. A card with ten stamps can be attached to issue a $1 certificate.

The twelfth annual commencement exercises for Leech Actual Business College will be held in Greensburg this week with graduates from Indiana. Rev J D Rankin will deliver the baccalaureate sermon at Wilkinsboro First United Presbyterian Church. Thursday night features a program of recitations ovations and music at St Clair theatre. Friday’s outing and reunions occur at Oakford Park near Greensburg. Potatoes Bring High Prices in Pittsburg and Indiana Markets
New potatoes in Pittsburg are selling around 1.60 to 1.75 a bag as dealers report strong demand. Indiana markets show prices near 600 per peck with 70 cents asked by dealers on Saturday. Old potatoes remain expensive with wholesale bids from 1.00 to 1.25 a bushel.
