Four Hundred Acres Timberland Sold to Johnstown Men
A Pine Township timber tract of 400 acres near the Pennsylvania railroad was sold for about $40,000 to I. Specht and H. Cook of Johnstown. The McCaffrey estate owner this land, rich with oak and hemlock, is expected to yield 6,000,000 feet of lumber. The buyers plan two saw mills and a tram road to connect with the railroad, aiming for operations by April 1.

Typhoid Fever Strikes Local Families in Ten Days
A batch of mild typhoid fever cases has appeared in the community over the past ten days. The worst patient is James L. Culp, an implement dealer on South Sixth Street, in serious condition. Other affected individuals include J. H.
