County Education Board Plans Agent Appointment and State Aid
The county board of education proposes filing a petition with the county council to appoint a county agent. A $500 deposit funds expenses, then $1,500 annual county salary and agent costs, with state aid to Purdue University for part of the salary. State funds cover half the agent’s pay, up to $1,000 per county, with limits on counties eligible for aid. The agent will work with farmers institutes and clubs and assist schools and teachers in practical agriculture education.
