Episcopal bishops reverse on women priests ruling
After hours of debate the Episcopal Church bishops left it to individual leaders to decide if 15 irregularly ordained women are priests. The action may leave many in doubt as several dioceses refuse to recognize the ordinations, with chances of full acceptance unlikely in two thirds of dioceses. The reversal undermines the mandatory conditional ordination stance urged previously.
