The Lancaster proprietors announce the Independent Press will be independent from party clamor and base its content on truth and sound policy. They pledge to avoid private slander, welcome essays and avowed opinions, and pursue timely exchange of papers to inform patrons of foreign and domestic affairs.
The Experempent Press offers a royal sheet at two bottars per issue, payable in advance, or 7 6 Dollars and Fifty cents per year. Country produce at market price may be delivered as payment. Advertisements not exceeding a square cost one dollar for three weeks with twenty five cents for each additional insertion. Subscriptions require at least six months and arrearages must be paid. Communications to publishers via mail must be prepaid.
