Federal judge orders Ford tape in Fromme case
In Sacramento federal court on Tuesday Judge Thomas MacBride refused to limit President Ford to written testimony and ordered a videotaped statement from Ford in the Lynette Fromme trial. Ford would provide the statement at the White House within days, while Sara Jane Moore faced a separate San Francisco case and competency hearings were set for mid November.
