Ford denies he was an 18 year psychotherapy patient
Vice President nominee Gerald R. Ford rejected a book claim that he was a patient of Dr Arnold Hutschnecker in New York for about a year. Ford called the allegation categorically inaccurate and noted Hutschnecker said he never treated Ford. He recalled a brief 14 minute meeting and said the rest was conjecture by author Robert Winter-Berger.

Rhodes, 47, is in his 11th House term and chairs the Policy Committee, and the post carries a $55,000 salary plus a chauffeur.

Ford tax audit asked Washington
The Senate Rules Committee on Tuesday urged President Nixon to order an audit of Gerald Ford’s tax returns. Chairman Howard W. Cannon Jr. said he asked Nixon to issue an executive order allowing an audit for the past three years and to turn over Ford’s returns for the past seven years. The committee likely would open hearings on Ford’s confirmation around Act 30.
