Fitzgeralds to be moved to historic Catholic cemetery
The remains of F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda will be reinterred next month at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rockville after 35 years of Zelda’s grave attracting literary pilgrims. Fitzgerald had wished for St. Mary's burial, but was denied in 1940 for being non-Catholic and for perceived book material. Zelda died in a North Carolina sanitarium and was buried beside him in 1948.
