Ten of eleven named to screen OC assessor applicants
The Orange County Board of Supervisors named ten of eleven members to form a panel to screen candidates for the county assessor post. One seat remained to be filled to avoid a tie, after rejecting nominations by the County Administrative Officer. The lineup includes Joan Riddle, Lucien Truhitl, Amin David, William Cornett, Tren Bartlett, Ralph Hawes, Joe White, Frank Manzo, Robert Guggenheim, and Gene Tunks, with temporary chair Truhitl. The current assessor, Jack Vallerga, was removed following a jail sentence, fines, and a ban from public office.
