FDA and drug firms limit children's aspirin bottles
The FDA said all children's aspirin bottles after next July 1 must not exceed 36 tablets and carry a caution label. The accord with 32 drug firms targets accidental overdoses and shifts away from candy-like ad language. A 14 grain per tablet potency limit replaces current higher strengths. Further safety caps are urged but not yet adopted.
