Anti integration law bid fails in California Assembly
In Sacramento Republican Assemblyman Floyd Wakefield dropped his move to repeal last year’s school integration guideline law after a heated debate. Lawmakers questioned parliamentary tactics as Wakefield withdrew the motion to avoid a floor vote during election year. Speaker Bob Moretti led the opposition to advancing the antibusing measure.
