Ford lectures at SC no comment on Nixon talks
Gerald Ford lectured about government for USC political science students during a three day visit. He refused to comment on Nixon interviews, saying Nixon's words speak for themselves. Ford mentioned he would pardon Nixon again under 1974 conditions and noted the Watergate focus occupies about two percent of his time. He defended his 25 year congressional record and denied doing nothing in Congress. He reflected on Solzhenitsyn and the Kennedy assassination inquiry and offered a remorseful note on the Oval Office rebuff.
