Women’s Clubs push tough assault laws at California convention
At the California Federation of Women’s Clubs 66th convention in San Francisco 950 delegates from 810 clubs backed resolutions for quicker trials and immediate sentencing for repeat sex offenders and better victim protections. They also urged a nationwide 911 emergency number and supported a wildfire refuge plan and permanent Bay Conservation Commission retention.
