Senator seeks amnesty for NOx device fines
State Senator Nate Holden says he will push a bill to forgive about 1,500 motorists cited for not installing NOx smog devices on 1966 to 1970 models. He plans a separate later bill to refund the 400,000 who already installed the devices. Holden and Supervisor Kenneth Hahn called for repealing the South Coast NOx requirement as the repeal advances to the Assembly.
