Wizards film review recalls Bakshi nostalgia and futurist clash
The piece discusses Ralph Bakshi's Wizards as a nostalgic future fantasy mixing '60s sensibilities with 405 era concerns. Avatar battles Blackwolf amid Nazi propaganda, with strong urban themes and Bakshi’s sprite of color and animation. Audience reactions hint the film may not suit unsophisticated children.
