A grand ballroom event opened with nearly 900 Southland coeds and West Long socialites in attendance. Photos show Joan Conrad Nick Hilton Jr Mr and Mrs Gus Walker and Mrs Lynn O Hossam entering the ballroom as the Beach Girls Club project is outlined for future construction.
Jeannette McCabe daughter of Judge and Mrs Inlton AcCave plans a June wedding to a man described as a Polytechnic High School alumnus who earned a BS from Stanford and an MS from Oregon State College. The couple's families are listed with addresses in Linden Avenue and Country Club.
The Nixon family plans a spring move to a 21 room Tudor estate in Washington. John Greer, the interior adviser, shapes plans to brighten woodwork and paneling. The mansion will include three dormer rooms with baths, four bedrooms, a library over the garage, and a lower level recreation room with maid's quarters.
Members of the Junior Women's Club will be guests at a meeting of the North Long Beach Women’s Club Wednesday at noon in the clubhouse.
