Roemer faces sex charges in Long Beach case
A 49 year old Long Beach man, John T. Katrenich, was bound over for trial on forced oral copulation and attempted rape after a woman testified he attacked her at knifepoint in her downtown Long Beach home on February 12th into February 13th. She described being bound to a bed, stripped, and assaulted in two incidents. The judge set bail at $5,000 and scheduled arraignment for March 13 in Superior Court.

Probe investigates 10-foot hole in Sansinena hull
Coast Guard investigators and shipwrights in San Pedro continued on Tuesday to reassemble and weld together pieces of the oil tanker Sansinena to determine the cause of an unexplained hole found in the sunken tank.
