Yacht Bandit Robs Pine Avenue Jewelers at 7 10 P.M.

A neatly dressed thief nicked more than 700 dollars from California Credit Jewelers at 328 Pine Avenue in the early evening traffic. Clerk Charles Braun, 41, said the man produced a nickel plated revolver from a box and threatened to shoot, while shoppers passed by unaware. Police noted the suspect left swiftly with the loot.
