Body Found In Ocean During Sunken Ship Salvage Attempt
El Segundo June 29 four divers aimed to reach a sunken zinc ship off Eureka when one man Mil lard Loren McAndress 26 of Tre dondo was found dead afloat with lines tied to his waist. A ship reported the sighting to Santa Monica lifeguards. The body was recovered and identified from wallet papers. Police said the others, three men, had departed in a 34 foot landing craft to salvage the vessel as Coast Guard units searched for the craft and the missing sailors.
