Rail Engineer Gill Awarded 103660 in Collision Judgment
Tupman Gill, a 44 year old former Southern Pacific railroad engineer, received a $103,660 judgment for injuries from a March 1951 train collision. Superior Judge Samuel R. Blake ordered the payout after Gill was crushed in his cab and lost a leg in the wreck.
