Brother-in-Law Held in Shooting
A 94-year-old ex-Texan Bernie McFarling died from five gunshots in a struggle over a .38 revolver with his brother-in-law Fred Webster 37 at Webster’s home. Webster, a commercial artist, was held for investigation of murder. he claimed self defense after McFarling threatened them over money and attacked first. Police reported Webster retrieved the gun during the struggle and fired, wounding McFarling fatally. See EX-TEXAN Page 4-A
