County OKs pay boosts for workers and executives
Los Angeles County supervisors approve a 66.9 million pay package for about 70,568 rank and file workers with an average 5 percent raise plus fringe benefits and an 8 percent raise for eight department heads. A $49,500 ceiling is set on top executive salaries, with one dissent.
