Bellflower delays city administrator search until budget is complete

May rains ease Orange County drought outlook
Unseasonal May rains reduced the Orange County drought as no Colorado River water arrived to replenish underground supplies. Neil Cline of the Orange County Water District notes May had no surplus Colorado River water, with 14,964 acre-feet purchased from the Metropolitan Water District so far this year. Groundwater basins will tighten as pumping rises while River inflow declines. Anaheim Lake drops to nine feet, and Water Factory 21 reclaimed 46 million gallons in May, totaling about 2 billion gallons this year.
