Romney to Decide on New Hampshire Run in March Primary
Michigan Governor George Romney says he will decide by year end whether to seek the GOP presidential nomination and plans to enter New Hampshire’s March 12 primary if he runs. He expects Nixon to oppose him there and notes Nixon’s current popularity in the state. Romney calls himself the underdog but believes he can win and may run in other primaries. He also says he asked John Volpe to run in the primary. Saigon reports South Vietnam set November 5 for elections to the 120 member House of Representatives.
