Rolling Stone Convicted On Drug Charge In England
Keith Richard, Rolling Stones lead guitarist, was convicted at Aylesbury Crown Court of possessing cocaine and fined 1275. The jury found him not guilty of possessing S and LSD. The case stemmed from a May 19 search of his Bentley after it veered off the road into a field. Prosecution said cocaine was in a silver tube attached to a necklace and LSD traces were on folded paper in his jacket, while Richard claimed the band's items are communally owned and he had no knowledge of the drugs.
