Slaying Arraignment Set In Frankie and Johnny Killing

Nancy Lee Reynolds a 35 year old cook will appear in Superior Court Dept E at 3 am Jan 25 after being held to answer a murder charge in the Frankie and Johnny killing of Dee Owens 37 at the Barge Inn 1525 Santa Fe Ave. Prosecutors say Reynolds admitted shooting Owens after a 14 month dating period and alleged harassment by Owens. Witnesses describe her trip from the bar to the Barge Inn and quotes suggest she intended to kill him and later said she hoped he was dead. The incident left Reynolds wounded and Owens dead on arrival at St Mary's Hospital.

Police Get Their Own Bar In Jackson Lodge

Jackson police gain a licensed lodge bar after the state grants the first police lodge liquor license under a new Michigan law. The change allows police groups to obtain liquor licenses, ending a restriction that previously barred officers from owning hats but barred lodge licenses.
