Tie Vote on Police Pay Hike Delays in Dooley Parking Row

Councilman Charles R Dooley faces legal scrutiny over alleged improper use of two parking lots. City Prosecutor James T J Starr said a defective 10 day warning notice mailed rather than served in person may require a new notice. Dooley has filed another Planning Commission permit request for the lots near his hardware store with a Jan 21 hearing set. A 2 2 pay raise vote for police captains was deadlocked as Garrison and Dooley opposed raising salaries amid budget concerns. Crow plans further committee action before next council meeting.
