Fitzsimmons Denies Hoffa Pact In Press Confab
Teamsters President Frank Fitzsimmons challenged links to organized crime and defended Hoffa history in a Lewisburg note controversy. He cited a signed paper allegedly by Hoffa as a factor in his own 1971 election and parole leverage, while denying wrongdoing and pledging to seek higher wages and benefits in upcoming contract talks.
