Sniper Opens Fire From Downtown Hotel Roof
In Wichita Kansas a sniper using two rifles fired from a Holiday Inn Plaza rooftop injuring seven and killing two. Michael Soles, 19, of Sand Springs Oklahoma, was captured after about 200 minutes of indiscriminate fire. The dead are Joe Goulart, 56, and Elmer W. Hensley, 67. Police recovered rifles after officers entered the room on the 26th floor.
