Renewal Bonds Redeemed in West Beach Project
The Long Beach Redevelopment Agency redeemed an additional 90.00 in bonds issued for land acquisition and clearance for the West Beach project. Allan A. Robertson, executive director, said this is the second redemption from the 4 million 10 year Series A bonds issued in 1988 after a February repurchase of 140,000 of the series bought by Bank of America. Boise Cascade Corp. undertakes the West Beach redevelopment, south of Ocean Boulevard between Magnolia Avenue and the Los Angeles River, with a 1977 completion goal for mostly office and commercial facilities. The agency also issued a 1965 Series B bond issue totaling 5,485,000 for 30 years.
