Awful Tragedy in Parker Leaves Kerr Dead
In Parker a man named William P. Peacock shot and killed Alexander Kerr with a shotgun. Kerr died at 4 45 PM after being found mortally wounded, with Peacock surrendering nearby that Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held Wednesday as the town mourned Kerr and awaited possible court action against Peacock in Dallas.

The Summer Carnival queen contest in Dallas closed Saturday at 1 o clock with Mrs Anna Dunn winning by 8342 votes. Flora Brown finished second with 2039 votes as a total of 10 000 votes were cast at five cents each for a neat sum of 500 dollars.

Woman from Monmouth Wins Damages in Sidewalk Case
