Immigration officials visit Independence to discuss westward migrants

Rollcall of Members at Baptist Church in Independence

The annual rollcall at the Baptist church in Independence last Saturday drew about 45 members. Rev. Allen spoke on church meetings in Monmouth. Edna Scott joined the church. Lettie Mastergon was elected clerk, Clarence Clodfelter organist, and several members were elected delegates to the Amity association to meet on the 26th to 28th of the month.
