Cordial Welcome For Union Revival Brigade In Dallas
The Union Revival Brigade led by J. E. Hill and wife conducts street and tent services in Dallas for a two week period. The group, in its fifth year, includes Fred Ayers Henry Strawberg Clarence Hoyt James Kirewood Miss Ella Hoyt Miss Ella Glende Miss Grace Reeder and Miss Ethel Poling. Vocalists and a revival orchestra support the services endorsed by the local ministerial association. Over fifty professions of religion were reported in Dallas recently.

In July 2003 Portland meeting notes show Mr G A Hurley of Lev Improvement League Independence Oregon receiving English walnuts and white figs for display. Interesting Relic In Window At Calbreath’s Store
A note from the Information Bureau reports a man changed travel plans to visit your town and a gentleman plans to buy an interest in a local saw mill. The window displays a Revolutionary War bullet mold and pouch, owned by James Alexander, whose grandfather carried them from Lexington to Yorktown, a rare historical sight.

100000 Brick by August at Cooper Yard
At the J. R. Cooper brick yard daily activity centers on loading 20,000 brick into the kiln. By August 1st Mr. Cooper expects to have 100,000 first class brick burned for sale.

Buried Coins Found by County Roadmaster
County Roadmaster T. B. Hantley unearthed a jar of coins while filling a road at Eola. The damaged site yielded several coins and a $10.50 sum quickly recovered, with some pieces dating to 1898. The jar lay about two feet underground.

Double Sorrow Visits Buena Vista Family
In Buena Vista a fresh grave marks the burial of Mrs. W. N. McLaughlin. Her husband suffers another loss as infant Verl Venet a, aged seven months, dies of brain consumption at Lebancen. The infant, born December 1 1902 near Buena Vista, lay in state at Buena’s Evangelical church before burial beside the mother.

Apples on the Fourth Presented by I H Ingram
I H Ingram displayed several well preserved Red Chief Pippin apples on July Fourth. The fruit, grown on the property now occupied by James Alexander, is unusually ripe for the season and noteworthy for flavor and appearance.

An Enjoyable Occasion Parker Special
