Marion Vanduyn Dies. Portland Merchant Remembered
J M Vanduyn a prominent merchant of Ferrell Idaho and brother of I Vanduyn of Portland died last Thursday at his home Born in Coburg Oregon April 21 1806 he moved to San Francisco eight years ago and has lived in Ferrell the past years He survived by his wife four brothers Neal of La Grande Oregon William and Thomas of Coburg and two sisters Mrs Mary Smith and Aire Elin Macey of Coburg Oregon The funeral will be held at William Vanduyns residence He was formerly a partner in Shelly Vanduyn general merchants in Independence and later a member of West Side Trading Co. He was known for a hearty generous nature and helped many in distress. friends list includes M Merwin Zed Rosendorf FP M Kirkland and J S Cooper
