Fire destroyed the Walter Le Tooze department store in Polk County early Monday, with about 45000 dollars in losses and 35000 insured. The Tavern hotel and J H Fowler law office were damaged. Fowler’s building valued at 250 dollars with 100 insurance. Mrs Tooze alerted firefighters from the Tooze apartments upstairs in the Tavern hotel.
