Railroad service tweaks eyed for Independence traffic surge
Indications of increased travel between Independence and Falls City as the Normal opens prompt management to arrange added railroad capacity. Summer plans include improved services and better equipment on the Independence and Beemouth holdings. A motor car link to the railroad crossing north of town may be tested to connect with Falls City and Western trains, with a light express from Torre on the Southern Pacific road also discussed.
