Electric Cars Nearer to Corvallis Operation

Southern Pacific informs Independence manager Spratley that electric service will start within two weeks. Electric trains have run to an adjacent city for a month. Work to electrify the line to Corvallis is nearly finished and machinery will be installed within two weeks after arrival, with operation expected by April first. A Presbyterian church ladies group hosted a well attended theatre night at Sels Theatre last Friday.
