Dallas Woman Killed in Embankment Crash Near White Salmon
Mrs Amos Holman of Dallas died at Hood River hospital from injuries after a car carrying her and her husband rolled over three times near White Salmon Washington. The vehicle struck a stump, landed right side up, and left her with crushed skull and broken legs while Mr Holman sustained facial injuries and back injuries. The couple were en route to Dallas with Mrs Holman a longtime Buena Vista resident aged about 70.

Valsetz Man Burns to Death in Automobile Accident
William La Blanch of Valsetz died when the car driven by John Shafer of Independence left the road near Eddyville on the Toledo road. Marvin Bikins of Valsetz rode with them. Shafer was missing and Elkins was injured and incoherent. A Toledo deputy sheriff inspected the wreck as the family awaited word.

Independence aims to display an agricultural and horticultural exhibit at the Polk County Fair in Dallas this fall. The Epworth League Institute moved to Falls City for the first time this year leasing grounds for 99 years. About 400 delegates from Portland Salem McMinnville and other towns attended while workers built a tabernacle and dining hall. Dr. Doney Dr. Gilbert and Rev.
