Pioneer Lady Amanda Ground Dies at Home
Amanda Ground nee Montgomery born January 18 1857 died at her home near the city in April after a long illness. Survived by husband John Ground and five children Russ Mulkey Robert Harry and John all at home except Mrs Ruse who attended the funeral. Interment was in Old Fellows Cemetery with Rev Mulkey officiating. A pioneer of Oregon and longtime resident, she was a Christian church member respected by many.
