Earthquake Strikes Alaska District Causes Unease Across Regions
Last Saturday night about one oclock another quake visited the district causing no damage but fear among residents. Shocks and tremors were felt in Iditarod City Flat City and along creeks with lamps swaying and furniture moving. Some slept through it others rushed to the streets as tremors lasted from thirty seconds to half an hour. Reports followed from Kaltag Old Woman and lower Yukon indicating widespread disturbance and a general atmospheric clearing with rain on Tuesday.
