CCC to focus on Alport buildings and prefabs tonight

Neighbors Aid Newspaper Stand At 57th St Corner

Denman Thompson arrived late Friday to find neighbors covering his newspaper stand near Stineway Drugstore at 57th and Kenwood. Mrs Hollander of 5725 Kimbark helped with two youths at the window while Mrs Mather of 5750 Dorchester and her 5 year old daughter Chrissie previously watched the stand.

Dennis Griffin of Woodlawn was misidentified as Jeff Fort in the Hyde Park Herald Sept 11 report. Griffin, the correct name, told the newspaper he used the false identity as James Jackson to avoid exposure. Rev. Charles Bayer confirms Griffin's role as a Blackstone Rangers youth program voting representative. The paper apologizes for the error.
