Kenwood C of C to honor Hyde Park officers with $100 award
The Kenwood Chamber of Commerce will give its first annual $100 award for outstanding police work to three Hyde Park officers Detective John Murtaugh Detective Frank Lynch and Vito Continio for rounding up a gang linked to a hotel crime wave. The arrests solved nine south side hotel armed robberies. The luncheon will be on Tuesday November 1 at 12 15 pm at the Sutherland hotel.

The Hyde Park Kenwood Community Conference marks stage three of its Annual Finance Membership Drive with a lunch at Moron's restaurant on Monday October 24. Richard Aylward chairs the businessmen committee assisted by Hector Coates George Rosenthal Robert Shoellenberger and Samuel Bell. Special Gifts have $3006.49 turned in, Block workers and others $600. Nominations for the Good Neighbor Award are due October 30 for the November 30 annual meeting.
