Principal Charges Student Caused Grid Disturbance
A Hyde Park student led a disturbance after a Hyde Park Parkers game with three or four peers trying to rush a leading bus. The principal and faculty took the boy to the police station at 115th and Duncan and filed a complaint. The principal warned students that large disturbances linked to them would bar attendance at gatherings. The City plans to use the University of Chicago southeast planning unit for a renewal program from 47th to 59th Cottage Grove to the Lake.

LCC Buys Misery Mansion as Eighth Parcel
The city land program shows Misery Mansion among eight properties acquired by LCC. Demolitions have occurred on three blocks and two more sites will be razed this week, with demolition contracts planned for Misery Mansion and two others. Options secure sales on five additional parcels, while 30 other parcels incur ongoing spend and 21 condemnation suits have been filed with more expected. The fourth ward regular Democratic organization will hold its annual Fall Festival on Tuesday Oct 11 in the New York room of the Sutherland hotel at 47th and Drexel. Mayor Richard J.
