Fr White calls church party entry a normal occurrence

A Hyde Park YMCA girls club party at a church drew about 50 youths outside on Monday. Police were called around 8:30 after a fight began and a window was broken in an attempted entry. Father Joseph Dickson, one of the church’s ministers, said he would have handled the situation if present and noted good relations with local youths. Observers linked the disturbance to a Coordinated Youth Program in which Blackstone Rangers had participated previously.
