Mikva backs Muslim votes then heads to Washington
Abner Mikva said Wesley South could gain Muslim support after Black Muslims announced their backing last week. Mikva, the Democratic candidate for Congress in Illinois Second District, was in Washington to attend the signing of the Truth in Lending bill at the White House and praised its garnishment provision modeled on his 1961 Illinois law.

Conference board rejects Mrs. Goold as director
